A Great Start for all children
Giving all children a great start is a priority for the Queensland Government. The sharing of consistent and aligned practices across early childhood services and schools encourages children to develop confidence as a learner. At Tieri SS we are committed to providing:

• sustained collaborative partnerships with families, community and other agencies.
Our commitment to giving students a great start is expressed through our transition plans from kindy to prep and throughout the school into secondary education. Excursions to our school from our early childhood services, visits to the kindy, transition statements and building relationships all form a part of the springboard for our prep students’ success.
We also embed the use of Age-appropriate pedagogies to engage and differentiate for learners. This allows us to work with the strengths of individual students and to help them bridge any gaps in learning.
