Welcome to Tieri State School.
Tieri State School is a supportive and caring small school, that consistently strives to evolve and improve to create a culture of positivity and pride. Our culture is one of kindness, encouragement, optimism and positive relationships.
We celebrate that everyone who is a part of our community comes with a diversity of understanding and experiences in life. We respect and value each other's perspectives and seek to understand and support each other as individuals. We invest in each other's wellbeing and nurture our own; we encourage each other to step out of our comfort zone and expect the same of ourselves; we expect that everyone owns their emotions and respect others by owning our own; we listen, not judge; we teach and learn, not punish and conform; we validate, not denigrate.
Learning at Tieri State School is age-appropriate, agentic, active and aligned to the Australian Curriculum. Strong relationships of trust between staff and students allow the opportunity for risk taking in learning - for stepping into the unknown and being willing to have a go. We encourage our learners to not fear failure but rather to build resilience and try again. We have the same high expectations for every student - to do the very best they can to be the very best they can be. We have the same high expectations for everyone who is a part of our school. Everyone, Every day, Succeeding.
From 2022-2025, our school strategic priority is 'Everyone, Every Day Succeeding through Engagement (Social, Behavioural and Academic).

We acknowledge that the land we walk on every day is ancient and a sacred part of our history. Our footsteps join with those who have lived, breathed and cared for this country throughout countless numbers of years. We acknowledge our first Australians, our traditional owners who are the custodians of this land and thank them for sharing their stories and wisdom with us. We acknowledge their Elders past, present and those among us who will emerge to care for country in years to come.
